The Westward Trail

Initial comparisons to The Postal Service seem inevitable with a 2-man, iPod assisted lineup, but The Westward Trail are here to make you dance. In addition to touring the Northeast, making themselves a fixture on the synth-pop scene, the Westward Trail have opened for German techno-pop stylist Barbara Morgenstern and DFA Artist The Juan Maclean.

Reviews & Interviews:
Boston Phoenix's On the Download: "The Westward Trail are not without precedent in these parts. Their pre-owned synthpop tones play nicely with We Are Cassette, and in a budget crunch they could probably go halfsies on a guitar player with Mobius Band or Certainly, Sir. What makes their brand new "Steady Hands" so face-meltingly dope is the way they rock that shit arena-style."

Tangents UK: "So to that aforementioned list of East Coast Pop Renaissance groups, you can now add this Boston guitar/electro-pop duo. Infectious, intelligent and reminiscent perhaps of the first Future Bible Heroes album in terms of its clear understanding of how to build contemporary gems that fizz with a spirit of classic ‘80s electro-pop without sounding laboured and overly referential or reverential."

gifted: "There's definitely an 80's vibe going on here, but it's not what you think - the vintage synth lines, drum beats and melodic bleeps have been reprocessed and reconfigured into a totally contemporary sound."

Macchiato's blog: " Raises the tacit understanding sentiment with the oneself musical instruments, moreover, they also found out they can sing and write the perfect fresh popular melody."

The Westward Trail have been interviewed in the Wire NH, the weekly dig and in the Pulse.
